Final Blog Assignment

Consequences of learning about the international early childhood field: Inequalities of education. Some countries feel that girls should learn things inside the house while boys spend time learning outside the house.  You become so invested in other countries issues that you fail to see the issues of your own country. After viewing differences in the early childhood field you want to teach in a specific country because their philosophy  of education is more realistic  to your idea of teaching.  The main goal is to be able to understand and fully comprehend international issues in early childhood education. Then from there being able to apply it to your teaching and even learning on a college level. Most importantly being able to share your ideas and insight and potentially applying some innovative ideas in a classroom setting.

Professional goals, hopes, and dreams

Working for a private school in Pennsylvania what is discussed here is different from being in a public school. From their days off to even the core standards they focus on. I followed a link that emphasized play being important and I was pleased to find research articles, statistics, and even blogs about how to incorporate play in a child’s day. Unfortunately I don’t receive and any newsletters from this website because you have to be a member but I’m sure if I did it would be more useful information that I could apply in my everyday life or even in my classroom. The website does have a lot of positive articles in relation to equity. One article that stood out to me was titled “Diversity, Equity, and Cultural competency” the ti...
