Exporing Research Internationally

I decided to explore the Sub-Sahara Africa:
website http://www.ecdvu.org/ssa/major_reports.php

This was such a great site to click onto for so many reasons. Not only was it information but it provided me with information that other countries not even states were dealing with. Some of these international topics included:

  • The Development of an Integrated Early Childhood Development Urban Model Training Program for Informal Minders and Community Volunteers in Ghana- This research focusing on providing a training program that's effective for informal child minders (IMs) and community volunteers (CVs) in urbancommunity-based ECD centres and to develop training modules for that program usingan integrated approach towards the holistic development of the child (Agorsah, 1982).
  • Traditional Child Care Practices in Tanzania: Supplementing PLAN Training Programs- This project reviews typical child care practices for Tanzania. These practices were passed on through proverbs in three ethnic groups, namely the Sukuma, Ndamba and Zaramo of Mwanza, Morogoro and Coast regions in Tanzania respectively (Salakana, 2001).
From these articles I've learned so much information. Not only does education come from famous phillosophers who learned through testing, research, and observation, but some countries adapt their own beliefs based on religion. This website simply provided me with a more globalized look on education.

  1. This is good and informative. Jazmine, when I think of you I think of a jewel, a wild flower, or a totally unique individual that can keep anybody going, no less a classroom. I like the talk on how research develops. That is what I am trying to convey; we may have to relax and see our real skills. One of these would have to be religion, so to speak. It has me where I can quote a number of scriptures and can explain some of them. However, in the real world now I will have to unlock my locked up past in order to relate to the "now" world. It would definitely benefit our youth of today. Love your research understandings. I love my background as it has sustained me to this present time; I only need to broaden my awareness of the world around me.

  3. Jazmine, what a great blog entry. It really gets my mind thinking about other countries and how they see childcare. I do believe countries base their beliefs on religion
